Tabletop Success

The Tabletop Sale organised by Ray Bezani and Gosport Lodge 903 was very well supported with stalls extending from the Hall to the Bar area and Member's Lounge. The generated income for Gosport Lodge 903 is for the 2016 Festival.

A wide range of items, from new to old, to suit every pocket was to be found.

Claudia & Libby (left) won the Darma Bracelet by correctly estimating the number of Jellybeans in a jar. (actual number 393), which is to be their superb gift for Mum Nicky for Mothering Sunday.

Ray Bezani surveys the success, and John Hines with a Cruft's candidate.

Justin and the backroom boys in the kitchens provided essential effort.

Gosport Lodges Celebrations

Congratulations to Gosport Lodge No 903 on having reached 150 years.

The evening was a great success and very well attended.

A Successful Celebration for Alwarestoch No 7805

Alwarestoch Lodge No 7805 had a very successful 50th year celebration which was very well attended and the Lodge Banner rededicated.

Childrens' Xmas Party

Another successful Xmas Party which was thoroughly enjoyed by all the children attending was held in the Hall on the 4th December 2011.

Grateful thanks to all those Members who put in so much effort to make it a memorable day for them.

Replacement Organ

A replacement organ for the Lodge Room has been purchased and donated by Alwarestoch Lodge No 7805 in memory of the late W. Bro Tom Savage PPJGW

The Organ with (clockwise) W. Bro. Dale Collins - Master, W. Bro Mike Phillpott, W. Bro Syd Aynsworth

and seated, W. Bro George Nichols, Guest Organist of Alwarestoch Lodge No 7805

It has long been apparent that the lack in number of organists could lead to no music being available at a meeting.

The replacement organ is a Yamaha AR80 which is also programmable such that a non-musician can operate the instrument in the absence of an organist

The process should be quite simple and will be developed out to Lodges/Degrees in the immediate future.

Grateful thanks on behalf of all are extended to Alwarestoch Lodge 7805 for this generous donation.

Masonic Subscriptions

The per capita charge will be £42 for a Lodge Member and £21 for most members of Other Degrees for 2012.

The per capita has been kept to an absolute minimum but fuel increases and similar costs have to be budgeted for.

The charge which is one of the lowest (if not the lowest) in the area, can be maintained at this level due to the healthy number of External Bookings (functions, weddings etc) received.

Thanks to Kerry for the management of all these functions, one of the principal reasons we get so much repeat business.

Social Activities

The social activities of a Lodge plays an important part in the well being of the lodge, members, friends and family. To this end there is a new Social Events Page on this site which it is hoped to list all the events of each lodge with an encouragement to members friends and family of other lodges to attend. This will be to to the benefit of all and is being moved forward by Ian Chase, the Social Director.

The Banter Club

Whilst not now a new item, it may be new for some. This is a group that meets on certain Thursday mornings for Masons, friends and family members where a wide range of program events is offered. New members are warmly welcomed to the Banter Club.
